Position: President / Founder

Sept 2022———— Present

During Sophomore Year I founded the Drop of Art Club because I believe there is something I could do in awakening and unlocking beauty despite society’s shadows. As the only art-related club on campus, I aimed to create a collaborative community where art doesn’t exist in a vacuum, but against the backdrops of society. Together, we distributed hand-made jewelry, bracelets, and artworks in campus in hope to brighten students’ academic lives, and hosted fundraisers (made over $1000) to donate children’s coloring books to La Habra and Westminster city libraries, where there were little to no coloring books for kids. We brought exploratory and creative art materials to elementary school art classes – from 3D art to mixed-media – to break out of the box of art as marker drawing or crayon painting, but to unlock creative, not imitative approaches.
